Everything changes; the way we speak, the way we move and the way we communicate. Text messaging or commonly known as "texting" is one of the most done things in our daily life. An act of composing and sending a brief, electronic message between two or more mobile phones or fixed or portable devices over a phone network. The term originally referred to messages sent using the Short Message Service (SMS); it has grown to include messages containing image, video, and sound content (known as MMS messages).
There are many ways of texting, one of those is what they call "Jejemon". There are a lot of languages invented for us to understand a statement well. We can manipulate the way we compose a message and make it cooler and awesome. Honestly, I am not that active in text messaging because "chat" came. I am more comfortable in chatting than in texting but when I was an Elementary student, I was very active in text messaging and very familiar of how to text like using jejemon or simply, making a word shorter. But my English language I think, was not affected by that simply because, I know how to write and pronounce a word properly and at the same time, I know how to compose a message without respect to the spelling of a word. Language is as simple as 1, 2, 3 so how can a person be affected in how he/she texts a message? I know when to text a message informally and when to write and text a word or sentence formally.
Our English language cannot be affected by a social texting simply by having a self-discipline and a balance of mind on when to text a message informally and when to write and text a word or sentence formally.
